Hjartaheimar respects the privacy of everyone who visits this site, books a class or gets in touch. Below is an explanation of what personal data is recorded, for what purpose, and what rights you have regarding it.

Bookings. When you book a class or course through the booking system on this site, your name, email, phone number and chosen time are recorded with Noona, which operates the booking system on behalf of Hjartaheimar.
Inquiries. If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email and the message itself are sent to Hjartaheimar so you can be answered.
Site usage. If you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, Google Analytics collects data about visits — such as which pages are viewed, where traffic comes from, and general device and browser information — in aggregated form to help understand how the site is used. If you decline, this data is not collected.
Advertising. If cookies are accepted, Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) is used to measure ad performance and show relevant content from Hjartaheimar to people who have previously visited the site.
Music. The site includes embedded playlists from Spotify. When they load, Spotify may record technical playback data under its own privacy policy.
The following service providers process data on behalf of Hjartaheimar, each within its own limited role:
Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.
You have the right to know what information is recorded about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing — for example, the use of data for marketing purposes. Requests can be sent to Gulla@hjartaheimar.is.
If you believe your personal data is not being processed lawfully, you have the right to file a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
When you first visit the site, a banner appears where you choose whether to allow or decline optional analytics and marketing cookies from Google Analytics and Meta — none of this is loaded until you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the "Change cookie preferences" button at the bottom of the page, as well as manage cookies generally in your browser's settings. Playlists from Spotify and the booking system from Noona load regardless of this choice, as they are necessary for the site's core functionality.
